This service is for all new arrivals or anyone from Barcelona who is moving.

It involves obtaining authorisation from the Guardia Urbana (local police) for the moving lorry to park: a request must be submitted to be able to occupy certain parking spots and/or the road, a tax must be paid to occupy the public space during (un)loading and the move must be indicated 48 hours in advance by marking the area where the lorry will be parked. 

Some moving companies do not do this. Plug&Play offers this service so everything will be just right on your move day. It’s a mandatory procedure and you may be fined or even have your move cancelled if the Guardia Urbana come by.
